SurfIt – Terms of Use

1. Purpose of the App

SurfIt provides surf-related information such as weather forecasts, marine conditions, surf analysis, and location-based recommendations. The App is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally allowed to use the App in your country or region. If you are under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with parental or guardian permission.

3. No Account Required

SurfIt works without creating a user account. You can access all features without registration or providing personal information.

4. Location Access

The App may request access to your device’s location to provide accurate nearby surf conditions. Your location data remains on your device, except when used to request weather and marine forecasts from third-party providers. You can disable location access in your device settings, but some features may not function correctly.

5. Third-Party Services

To deliver forecasts, map visuals, and marine information, SurfIt uses third-party services. These providers may process limited technical data required to fulfill your request (for example, coordinates). We currently rely on:

• Open-Meteo for weather and marine forecasts
• MapTiler and OpenStreetMap contributors for maps

We do not control the accuracy, availability, or reliability of third-party data and are not liable for any inaccuracies.

6. No Professional or Safety Advice

All surf, weather, and marine information provided by the App is for general informational purposes only. The App does not guarantee accuracy or real-time updates and must not be used as navigational, safety, or emergency guidance. Surfing involves inherent risks; you are solely responsible for your safety and decisions.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for illegal or harmful activities
• Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access underlying code
• Use the App to create competing services without written consent from NoPressureLab

8. Intellectual Property

All content, graphics, code, and design elements in the App are owned by NoPressureLab or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal use only.

9. Updates and Modifications

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• The information in the App is complete, accurate, or reliable
• The App will be free of errors or interruptions
• Forecasts or marine data will reflect actual conditions

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law under European Union regulations, NoPressureLab is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss arising from the use of the App or reliance on its content. You assume full responsibility for your actions, including ocean-related activities. Some jurisdictions may not allow certain limitations; in such cases, only legally permitted limitations apply.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts within the EU, unless applicable consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
